      The Havre Police Department also assists the Animal Control Officer with any animal control related calls after business hours.  The department staffs a full time animal control officer Monday through Friday 8-5.  If you are looking for a lost pet or looking to adopt, feel free to contact the animal shelter at 406-265-2959.  If trying to contact the animal shelter after hours, please call the Havre Police Department at 406-265-4361. Adoptions are possible but inquires must be made during business hours.  If you are looking to surrender an animal, please contact Animal Control Officer Gordon Inabnit during business hours to arrange for the animal to be picked up.
 
                 The Animal Control Shelter is located across the street from the Hill County Detention Center located on West Second Street.  Any mail for the animal shelter should be addressed to the following address:
