The members of the Havre Police Department are affiliated with the Montana Police Protective Association (MPPA). The officers of the police department also member of their local association, which is named the Havre Police Protective Association (HPPA). This local association was started in the late 70's to early 80's, and was designed as a non-profit organization. The members consist of sworn officers of the Havre Police Department. The HPPA was started to help build the relationship with the community of Havre, with emphasis on the youth. The HPPA holds monthly meetings to discuss any business that may arise.
The HPPA receives monetary requests from group and individual organizations throughout the year. The HPPA also makes in kind donations to families that are stricken with a sick child or loved one. Some of these community groups include;

The HPPA also hosts an annual concert that takes place at the Montana State University Northern. This concert is the largest fundraiser for the HPPA. With the funds that are raised at this concert, the money is returned in the form of sponsorships for youth group activities.
